Heartland Scenic Studio, Inc. is a full service, bondable theatrical distribution company specializing in Lighting Control and Relay Systems, Theatrical Power Distribution, Theatrical Rigging Systems, Custom Casework, and Theatrical Scenery. Heartland features in house design and construction of custom casework, displays, exhibits, lighting control systems, and theatrical scenery; with site integration of displays, lighting control systems, and rigging systems.

Lighting Control System Division Support Services Provided:
Project Management - Upon receipt of contact or order
- Verify Bill of Materials compliance with project requirements prior to submittal drawings.
- Prepare and collate submittal documentation for project coordination and approval.
- Review and clarify the submittals and installation requirements with the contractor on the job site.
- Site visits as needed to answer Contractor questions, and inventory hardware with installing contractor.
- Execution of quoted site work and installation by Heartland personnel.
- Coordinate equipment shipment schedule with the site Contractor to guarantee equipment is on site when needed and not prior.
- Site visit to review conduit routing and rough in prior to pulling wire
- Coordinate system commissioning with electrical contractor on site.
- Verify contractor preparation (completion of required check list items) prior to arrival of commissioning technician.
- Verify receipt of all hardware
- Schedule commissioning technicians visit.
- Coordinate system training with contractor, owners agent, and training personnel.
- Coordinate and provide all project closeout requirements, including Training with O&M documents.
- Execute post closeout training sessions as specified and cover manufacturer warranty issues or project warranty whichever is greater.

Lighting
- Assist in gathering information to provide a theatrical or architectural dimming and control system to adequately meet your facilities needs and wants.
- Direct contact with your engineers to verify all system power and wiring requirements.
- Provide specifications, risers, and layouts to meet your needs, or the materials necessary for your architects and engineers to create these for your specific project.
- Provide assistance in answering any questions, which may arise regarding the dimming systems and associated systems designed with you, your architects and engineers.
- Provide any necessary reference materials to assist your engineer to make an educated decision for materials submitted for prior approval.
- Provide Budget information for the project, and assist in Value Engineering, so that the VE process does not jeopardize the intent of the provided materials.
- Assist in theatrical fixture recommendations and layout to insure adequate coverage of the space.
- Assist with any changes to the system as a result of changes in the space design.
Rigging/Curtains and Track
- Assist in gathering information to provide a rigging or curtain system to adequately meet your facilities requirements.
- Direct contact with your architects to verify proper site line requirements and additional required
materials for the installation.
- Provide specifications and layouts to meet your needs, or the materials necessary for your architects and engineers to create these for your specific project.
- Provide assistance in answering any questions, which may arise regarding the rigging or masking systems designed with you, your architects and engineers.
- Provide any necessary reference materials to assist your architect to make an educated decision for materials submitted for prior approval.
- Provide Budget information for the project, and assist in Value Engineering, so that the VE process does not jeopardize the intent of the provided materials.
- Assist with any changes to the system as a result of changes in the space design.
Heartland Scenic Studios Contribution To You
- Theatrical Expertise in the design of lighting systems, ranging from specialty interior lighting in churches and offices to complete theatrical systems. The people we have working with your end users, engineers, and distributors have extensive backgrounds and sometimes college degrees in theatre, which allows them to meet the needs of the owners with the proper tools.
- In house project management to verify all project requirements and conditions make submittal drawings, coordinate with the installing contractors to insure a smooth and accurate installation. Also acts as the interface with the Factory for the project. This person is the Heartland source for project information, questions, status and billing.
- Full stocking service center with 2 service technicians, to handle any problems or service issues that may arise. The technicians have been trained by ETC, Strand, Leviton/NSI/Colortran, High-End Systems, Robe, Douglas Relays, and Colorkinetics; they both come from sound and lighting technical backgrounds in theatre and music, which brings the thorough troubleshooting required to handle the customers problems.
- Heartland can assemble the full range of theatrical and specialty manufacturers together into one full package for completing your Overall Bill of Materials on a project. Drawing from your lines, and others to assemble a project.
- Heartland has excellent support for the electrical contractors installing a project for the first time to a seasoned veteran of system installations. With our in house project management to answer all of the contractors questions via phone, specified site visits, and coordinating scheduling requirements for system commissioning, it is like being walked through the project by hand as much as is required.
- Our theatrical contacts aid in finding projects, allowing us to create proposals for new facilities and renovation of existing.
- Heartland can create complete proposals for you and your clients, providing levels to meet their budgetary and growth needs.
- Creating custom specifications, risers, load schedules and information for engineers to easily input the information into their or your projects.
- Heartland has a solid reputation of providing an efficient and quality installation, and along with the manufacturers, supporting the installation after the project is completed.
